Ed Bertch

 

Ed is a licensed professional geologist, national registered environmental manager, Iowa certified groundwater professional, and licensed underground storage tank remover. 

 

Ed received his bachelor of science in geology from the University of Northern Iowa in 1995.  His first professional experience was with the City of Cedar Rapids where he gained experience hydrology, environmental compliance, landfill requirement, and underground storage tanks assessments.

 

Ed has developed three successful environmental departments for environmental consulting firms in Iowa (Geotechnical Services Inc., Terracon Consultants Inc., and Braun Intertec Corporation) before starting his own environmental consulting firm in 2012.

 

Ed provides technical direction and project management for environmental projects to comply with federal and state regulations for 30 years. He conducts, directs, and supervises Phase I/Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)- Categorical Exclusions & Environmental Assessments (EAs), corrective action design and operations, Risk Based Corrective Actions (RBCA), Surface Water/Storm Water Hydrology (NPDES) projects, wetland determinations, wetland delineations, wetland monitoring, wetland mitigations, groundwater modeling projects, dewatering projects, and RCRA compliance issues.  

 

As a manager, Ed has worked on numerous compliance issues, leaking underground storage tank investigations, subsurface investigations, and property assessments. His responsibilities have included subsurface exploration, monitoring well installation, groundwater sampling, mapping contaminant plumes, feasibility studies, and design implementation of corrective action projects. 

 

Rob Hunt

 

Rob is Iowa licensed well driller.

 

Rob has been in the drilling industry for over 46 years. He is experienced in many aspects of drilling, water well, geotechnical, and environmental. Vast experience in auger, mud rotary, air rotary, down hole hammer, and wireline coring. He has set many monitoring wells, and drilled over 100 water wells. He has drilled thousands of feet for geotechnical investigations. He also has, and is, responsible for maintenance of all equipment and it’s safe operation. He is responsible for employee training and supervision.
